New addition to backroom staff- John Lester

We are excited to announce that John Lester has joined the backroom staff for the 1st team. John is well known on the league circuit and was assistant manager to Richard Fey in his early years as manager to Rich Fey at Bitton FC. Since then John was assistant manager at Yate Town and part of the playoff winning side a few years back in the Southern Premier League. We would like to welcome John to the #blackandyellowfamily.

Rich Fey commented, ' I played with John many years ago and he was also my assistant at Bitton when we finished runners up two years on the trot. With Luke Ballinger deciding to move on, it was important for me and Nathan to also have someone we both wanted and trusted as part of the backroom staff and his experience will be valuable to us.'

John commented, 'I have been wanting to try and get back in football at this level and was delighted to be approached by Rich to join him and Nathan at Melksham Town FC. As everyone knows, the facilities at Melksham are first class. I have worked with Rich previously and know how hard he works and his expectations of everyone. I look forward to meeting the players, a few of which I know of already. The pre-season fixtures are very attractive which should attract good crowds knowing how well Melksham are supported both home and away. It will be a tough league and hopefully we will start well in which I hope will be an enjoyable season for all at Melksham Town- players, officials and supporters alike.'
