Newly-appointed management duo Richard Fey and Nathan Rudge began at Melksham with an action-packed 6-3 victory over Slimbridge.

The visitors took the lead after two minutes when Myron Taylor scored from close range before Melksham's Luke Ballinger equalised and Callum Demkiv turned the score around to make it 2-1 .

Jack Ball expertly lobbed the visiting keeper from 30 yards to put Melksham 3-1 ahead before Slimbridge's Rhys Sarsons' superb 25-yard volley put the visitors back in the game, narrowing the deficit and leaving the match finely poised.

Skipper Tom Warren capped a fine performance when he powered home a Ballinger corner to put Melksham 4-2 ahead.

Melksham scored again through Oscar Latas before Ballinger grabbed his second and Jamie Martin added another consolation for Slimbridge.
