Melksham Town FC are delighted to appoint Mark Collier as our new manager. Mark brings plenty of experience and success and everyone at the club wishes him all the very best.
We are also excited to announce that Luke Ballinger will be the assistant manager and Dave Thompson has been appointed as player coach.
We would also like to thank Luke, Dave and Mark for stepping in as interim managers and for doing such a great job.
Chairman, Darren Perrin commented, 'We had 16 applications and were taken aback by the quality that applied, however to be able to appoint someone of Mark's and Luke's calibre shows the pull of Melksham Town FC. Mark has won the league above with a record points tally at Chippenham Town, been to the second round proper of the FA Cup with Swindon Supermarine and we believe will be a great appointment for the club.'
Manager, Mark Collier commented, 'Having been in and around the set up for the past 10 days, it has become obvious that the club is in a good place. The Chairman and Directors have shown me a commitment and ambition towards progression. The players' attitudes have been first class, as has Luke Ballinger and Dave Thompson's effort and organisation during a difficult period. I look forward to getting started and embrace my appointment as manager of Melksham Town FC.'
